I'm reading The Phoenix Guards by Steven Brust. I've really enjoyed the Vlad Taltos novels he's written, but I hadn't gotten to the prequels til now. I like it, but I have to speak the dialog while I'm reading it. It really has a nice, swashbuckling feel. It also has the "gamer" vibe I get in many books or movies. It has adventuring group written all over it. I like that.
I just saw Underworld. It was definaetely The World of Darkness: The Motion Picture. I liked the way that technology was used, like the silver nitrate and ultraviolet bullets. I liked way it was in an archetypal city of darkness and rain. It really wanted to be the Matrix. The dissolve to the apartment door was visually identical and the music had the same, Matrixy sound. The only thing that was really badly done was the denoument of the villain. I just started laughing. All in all, not a bad action flick.

About the title of this blog: spin the cat. I love my cat. My cat loves me, however, she likes to play rough. She flops down on her back and waits for me to grab her and spin her in place. She then grabs onto me, biteing and scratching. I usually end up with a number of scratches on my forearms. She then has enough and leaves, with me the worse for wear.
I want my James Bond aquatic car. The Aquada is pretty sweet looking. All I need now is my flying car...
