I've always believed that female victims radiate fear and uncertainty. I've never been afraid to walk alone, but you have to use common sense and be aware of your surroundings at all times. Muggers don't tend to mess with people who seem confident and competent. Just stands to reason. There are lots of scared little old ladies to prey on. Why risk possible resistance? Sad, but true.

There is a group of people who believe that advocating for self defense is blaming the victim and encouraging rape culture.
Actually, Miss USA is right: Self-defense can prevent sexual assaults
The internet is crazy.
