Has Chrome's New Tab page gotten slow for you?

I like using the New Tab page in Chrome as my start page. Recently, that page got 'improved'. What was a quick start-up now took seconds more. I found a page that had since been deleted, but Google caches all and it has the flags to set to speed it up.

There are two main possibilities to go here:

  1. You liked the old New Tab page and want it back. Go to chrome://flags/#enable-instant-extended-api and select Disable, then click the Restart Now button at the bottom of the page.
  2. You like the new New Tab page, but want it faster. Go to chrome://flags/#enable-local-first-load-ntp and select Disable, then click the Restart Now button at the bottom of the page.
