2nd DC Countdown Teaser Image

This is interesting. The first teaser image had a a lot of symbolism, but this one is chock full of imagery, taking as it's inspiration DaVinci's The Last Supper. But this is filled with villains.

Lex Luthor is Jesus. There's a sentence I never expected to write. Luthor, being more of a drama queen than Jesus, is pulling a Jolson ("Lexor! How I love ya, how I love ya, my dear old Lexor!'). His outstretched blood-covered hands (whatever their more literal meaning in the story) probably mean to evoke stigmata, further cementing the "Savior of Humanity" between the two.

So far I'm finding the potential much more interesting than the actual comic itself. 52 was a hard act to follow and Countdown isn't doing it that well. Which sucks for DC as they are hanging their entire line of books off of it as it counts down to, Zero Hour? Final Crisis?
