I love Ornithopers. Seeing nature replicated by mechanical means is just cool.
Whenever I see the word, I think of Dune. Not the movies, their ornithopters didn't flap their wings. I see these flying machines from the Dune Encyclopedia, sadly out of print.
I know machines of this size are impractical. That's not the point. The idea of it just fills me with wonder.
