Buran on a Barge

Being moved to a museum in Germany. [Link]
Russian space shuttle Buran is transported across the river Rhine on a barge at Wesel, Germany, 07 April 2008. After being shipped from Australia via Bahrain to Rotterdam it now had to cross the River Rhine in order to reach its final destination, the Museum of Technology in Speyer.

Coolest. MoFo'ing. Thing. Ever. I always wondered what happened to the Buran.

The USSR was working on three or four sister ships to the Buran, but then the union collaped. It's sister, which was most of the way complete, was called Ptitchka (Little Bird). Buran, incidentally, is Russian for "Snowstorm."
