Why is he conceding that his judgment is so poor? How can someone who didn't anticipate that an interview like that would be all over the cable channels (not to mention the internet) expect us to trust him with national security? Or is it his modus operandi to do one thing and then, when he sees the pundits criticize him, change positions? (That's change you can't believe in.)

His sweet talk is the same as every other empty suit's to a pretty woman - he just wants her to say "yes", just one time, in this case - just one time in November.

But when they listen real close, they hear that his health care plan isn't actually universal, and his support of Roe vs. Wade is only if mental illness isn't involved.

At a campaign event in Georgia, he mocked Americans as ignoramuses who go abroad and can't say anything in French except "merci beaucoup." (Obama doesn't speak French.) He said that rather than worrying about immigrants learning English, we must all teach our children to speak Spanish. (Obama doesn't speak Spanish, either.)

Sean Oxendine and others are speculating that Brack Obama’s fundraising may be petering out. I think it highly unlikely that John McCain will somehow have outraised Obama in June, though I could easily see them falling short of the prior $100 million dollar hype.

Their speculation, however, triggered a bit of my own. Web traffic to Obama’s site has been tailing off and is currently at a six-month low. The situation raises the issue of whether Obama’s recent shifts — rhetorical or otherwise — on Iraq, the terrorist surveillance program, faith-based initiatives, etc. will dampen the enthusiasm of his base voters enough to affect his fundraising.
