DARPA wants to build a flying sub

Darpa is looking to build a machine that can fly like an airplane -- and swim underwater, like a submarine. It's been attempted before -- check out this sketch from 1934, below. Graham Warwick wonders whether the project is even remotely possible, after all these years of trying.
