Trying to build a national Id Database. "The REAL-ID Act requires each compliant state to, “Provide electronic access to all other States to information contained in the motor vehicle database of the State.” Nothing in the law restricts or allows a state to restrict that access, the purposes for which the database can be used, or what third parties the database can be disclosed to or shared with. If any agency of any other state requests a complete copy of a state’s database, for any purpose, the state receiving that request must comply with the request. It doesn’t matter what agency the request is from, or for what purpose. Any agency of any state, the District of Columbia, or a US territory can demand every other state’s database, and assemble a national ID database."
