Naming Controversies

What do you call non-specific carbonated beverages? Pop, soda or coke? Apparently, it has a lot to do with where you grew up. I say soda or the specific brand name.

Linux pronunciation. Linn-uks or Leen-uks. I say Linn-uks even though Linus Torvalds uses Leen-uks following the pronunciation of his name.

I won't ask about whether you call Linux Linux or GNU\Linux. the only person who does so is Richard Stallman.

Hoagie, Grinder, or submarine sandwich. I say sub.

Istanbul or Constantinople? Nobody's business but the turks.

Soda, LIHN-ucks, and sub.

In fact, I wouldn't mind eating a sub and drinking a soda whilst installing Linux on my new home server.
