Well, I was expecting the iPodTouch to have a hard drive, but I'm not too disappointed. If I get the 16Gb one, that is 6Gb more than I have in my 1st gen iPod. The wifi, web browsing and iTunes wifi store make up for not being 80 or 160Gb. Even the 8Gb would be acceptable.
Breakdown by Size and Price:
Shuffle | 1Gb | $79 |
Nano | 4Gb | $149 |
Nano | 8Gb | $199 |
Classic | 80Gb | $249 |
Classic | 160Gb | $349 |
Touch | 8Gb | $299 |
Touch | 16Gb | $399 |
Some are complaining about the look of the antenna but I don't get it. It is flush with the case. What more do you want?
I wonder how much of the iPhone hacks for 3rd party applications will work on the Touch? I would image most would. This may be the UMPC done right since it is a music player first and a Mac second.
